Witnessing the heart-wrenching situation of stray dogs left behind can bring tears to anyone’s eyes. Yet, not all mother dogs exhibit the same level of bravery, resilience, and devotion to their offspring as Si Bao.
This dog was left behind by her owner and subsequently suffered a terrible accident where her hind legs were crushed by a train. Si Bao’s situation seemed hopeless until she gave birth to four beautiful and strong puppies, who became the reason for her to keep going despite her difficult circumstances.
Si Bao regained her zest for life after becoming a mother and always maintained a positive and determined attitude when it came to caring for her children. She walked around on two legs, vigilantly watching over her little ones.
Si Bao was fortunate enough to have Animals Asia, a non-profit organization founded by Jill Robinson, save his entire family. The heroic mother dog has now become an animal ambassador and has been relocated to the organization’s headquarters. There, Si Bao can start a new life with his offspring instead of having to scavenge for food scraps thrown away by travelers at train stations. Muddie is his only surviving offspring.
In addition, Lelly has undergone a name change and is now known as “Lelly.” She is also considering getting prosthetic legs with wheels to enhance her mobility. Sadly, three of her four puppies passed away due to high fever, leaving only Muddie behind. At present, Lelly is enjoying her life as an ambassador for Animals, representing the animals of Asia.
Despite her small size, Lelly demonstrates an unwavering spirit that refuses to succumb to adversity.
