In his latest episode of Gold Minds With Kevin Hart, the comedian sat down with none other than DJ Khaled to chat about entertainment, art, business, and culture.
The two icons met up at the SirusXM Miami studio in Miami Beach, Florida for an in-person conversation that was recorded live on Saturday.
Dressed in his signature style, Hart kept things casual in khaki pants, a white sweatshirt, and vibrant red sneakers. To add a pop of color, he topped it all off with a beanie boasting shades of orange, red, green, brown, black, and white.

Khaled, also known as Khaled Mohammed Khaled, opted for a laid-back look in tan shorts, a matching Polo-style shirt, and stylish red, black, and white sneakers for their casual chat.
Having made his mark as a host in the 90s on Miami’s 99 Jamz radio station, DJ Khaled has since collaborated with numerous big names in the pop music scene. With 13 studio albums to his name, starting from his first release Listennn… the Album in 2006 to his latest work God Did in 2022, Khaled has solidified his position in the music industry.
Not one to shy away from self-promotion, DJ Khaled has a habit of hyping up his latest projects. Last year, Kevin Hart playfully impersonated Khaled in a video shared on social media, mimicking his famous catchphrase “God Did,” which also happens to be the title of his most recent album. In the video, Hart hilariously mimics Khaled’s voice, repeating the phrase in various settings like his living room, bedroom, bathroom, and office.
Taking on Khaled’s persona, Hart jokes about surpassing expectations on his tour, confidently declaring, “They didn’t believe I could sell more tickets on the tour – ‘God did’.” The comedic impression perfectly captures Khaled’s signature style, adding a touch of humor to their friendship.

Funny: The pair of long-time pals let loose and displayed their playful antics in the episode.
Expanding horizons: In the first season, Hart’s podcast focused on comedians, but for season two, it is set to feature conversations with the ‘top minds in entertainment, art, business, and culture’. The video then shows Khaled humorously doing his famous ‘God did’ catchphrase in various locations both indoors and outdoors. Displaying grace and a good sense of humor, Khaled shared the video on his Instagram, jokingly commenting, ‘@kevinhart4real it really breaks my heart… they really didn’t believe in us…GOD DID!! GOD DID!! GOD DID!! #AlbumMode Win with us !!!’ Khaled’s 13th studio album, “God Did”, was released in August 2022. The album received five nominations at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song for the title track featuring Rick Ross, Jay-Z, John Legend, and Fridayy.

Taking a trip down memory lane, the two celebrities reminisced about their past experiences and memorable moments they had once shared.
The experience: This multi-talented individual has collaborated with top artists in the pop music industry ever since making a name for themselves on 99 Jamz in the 1990s. Starting as a radio host in South Florida, particularly Miami, they have gone on to succeed in various roles including DJ, record executive, producer, and rapper.
Impersonation Incident: Khaled, known for self-promotion in his music and business endeavors, found himself being hilariously imitated by Hart last year. Hart’s spot-on impersonation included mimicking Khaled’s ‘God did’ catchphrase with perfect precision.
The record featured hit singles like Staying Alive, with special appearances by Drake and Lil Baby, as well as the popular track Big Time, which had collaborations with Future and Lil Baby.
Upon its release, God Did soared to the number one spot on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling a total of 107,500 album-equivalent units in its debut week. This included 9,500 physical copies of the album.
Aside from his music career, Khaled has found success as an author with his book The Keys, which landed a spot on The New York Times Best Seller list. In the book, he shares his insights on achieving success, shares personal anecdotes, and includes contributions from fellow musicians.
Taking inspiration from his own home and lifestyle, Khaled also branched out into the world of luxury furniture design, launching his line We The Best Home in August 2018.
