While taking a walk in Alabama, people came across Shep, a beagle who had been severely hurt. His neck and one eye were damaged, while the other was missing. The poor dog was also lost and without any companionship. Luckily, Two by Two Animal Rescue found him and posted his story on Facebook. After seeing the post, Shep’s loving new mother adopted him.
According to Shep’s mom, Micah Larsen Brannon, she felt a strong connection with Shep the moment she first laid eyes on his photo one night. It was as though fate had brought them together.
It seems that Shep had been restrained and abandoned for a while before he was found, as per the veterinarian’s report. Sadly, when they did find him, poor Shep had succumbed to the harsh cold and passed away. It was later revealed that Shep had been suffering from an eye condition that had severely hindered his sight. When he was brought to an eye specialist, they discovered that the remaining eye was so badly damaged that it had to be removed, leaving him completely blind.
Isaiah mentioned that the exact duration of the dog’s blindness and untreated injuries remains uncertain. Despite this, the dog seems to have a calm demeanor despite its disability.
Eight-year-old Shep is overjoyed with his fresh start in life. He moves with agility and possesses the ability to conquer any task he puts his mind to.
